"Practice Helpers e-newsletters combine the best qualities of the old-fashioned doctor's newsletter with the cutting-edge power of the Internet."

Roland Perez, Exec. Producer,
American Health Journal, PBS

Need a Port in the (Marketing) Storm?

A Boston peer mediator for teens recently asked the kids in his workshops what scared them most about the future.

What do you think teenagers are most worried about?

  • Global warming? Nope.

  • American education going down the tubes? Nope.

  • Losing their careers to global competitors? Nope.

It turned out they were scared that new technology and social media might ruin their ability to have normal relationships in the future.

What Are We Getting Into?

I think they're onto something. I've started feeling as though social media is more of a hydra-headed monster than a new marketing opportunity. So many channels! So much change! It's all too much.

I personally don't post or tweet. I learn just enough about Facebook and the rest to make sure my clients' e-newsletters are compatible with them.

Popular social sites can't be ignored, certainly, but history shows they're transitory (remember MySpace?)

Only One Way to Hear from Me

So don't expect me to "friend" you. Don't look for my Tweets.

The only way you can find out how Practice Helpers helps your practice thrive is by reading my bi-weekly e-newsletter "A Cut Above."

It's full of nuggets of wisdom about how to nourish patient relationships with e-newsletters.

Feel Free to Turn Me Down

Just Remember - Marketing Is About Relationships

Godspeed.

And as you go about building your cosmetic practice without me, remember those Boston teenagers. They show that even in a world dominated by technology, relationship is what really matters to people.

The tools for cultivating relationships can change, grow or disappear. The important thing is to keep reaching out with the ones in your comfort zone.

Yours in continued prosperity,
