Beautologie’s On-Site Surgical Suite:
The Bakersfield Wellness Surgery Center Marks Its One-Year Anniversary
There’s always a better way of doing things. When it comes to healthcare, improving the way we deliver care results in better patient outcomes.
Last year Beautologie installed a state-of-the-art surgical facility for our patients. We’re proud to report that results have been nothing short of outstanding.
Our Flawless Record
Since opening the surgical suite last year, we haven’t experienced a single major adverse event (NOT EVEN CLOSE!). One reason is that we rigorously screen patients to ensure they’re in the best of health prior to surgery. We always have excellent anesthesiologists and highly trained nurses on-site. And we continually look at ways to improve our processes to ensure optimal results.

In the last year, we’ve performed
853 surgical procedures!
483 breast augmentations
214 tummy tucks
53 liposuctions
103 other procedures.
We’re currently performing 5 to 8 procedures per day,
and will soon be expanding our services to double our volume.

Nationally Accredited
What’s more, we’ve undergone voluntary accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), which measures the quality of our services and performance against nationally recognized standards. I’m proud to report that Bakersfield Wellness Surgery Center (BWSC) received a 100% rating and a three-year accreditation – the highest possible.
Why Go to the Trouble?
Some people wonder why we’ve gone to the considerable expense of duplicating what’s already available in local hospitals. Here’s what I tell them:
1. Privacy and Convenience
First, there are issues of privacy and convenience. Unlike a sprawling hospital with hundreds of staff and patients, ours is a quiet, intimate setting that makes it easy for patients to get in and out discreetly. |

2. Respect for Your Time
Then there’s punctuality and respect for your time. At a hospital, unexpected trauma emergencies can change the surgical schedule, and elective surgery can get bumped. At BWSC, your procedure is performed on schedule, with no risk of an emergency usurping the operating suite.

3. Healthy Patients Stay That Way
Thirdly, you’re not exposed to hospital-acquired infections. People undergoing elective surgery are healthy (unlike most patients in a hospital!), and in a surgical suite like ours you’re assured of staying that way. In fact, we only operate on patients who meet stringent criteria for good health.
4. We’re Prepared For All Contingencies
Fourth: Our Accreditation from the Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) means we have the same emergency equipment available that hospitals provide.
5. Lower Overhead = Lower Costs
Finally, there’s the issue of cost. We don’t have the overhead of a hospital, and this is reflected in our pricing.
