Our iPad Raffle Contest Winner
Elizabeth Latta-Neary - we call her Libby - won the coveted iPad in our most recent iPad Raffle Contest.
Bad Luck Turns Into Good Luck
For Libby a bummer turned into a windfall. Libby was driving to our office for a consultation when her car struck some construction debris, blowing out three tires. "One of the tires ripped completely off the rim," she reports. She was shaken.
But she managed to coax the vehicle into our parking lot. When she came in the door she was frazzled, recalls office manager Kelley.
Called A Friend
After Libby and I chatted she called a friend to come pick her up. As it happened, this friend was thinking about getting some cosmetic surgery and booked a consultation with me that day. This made Libby eligible for our 'Refer A Friend, Win An iPad" raffle contest. Her name was entered into the contest and she went on her way, expecting nothing.
Lucky Strike
Weeks later we called to tell her she'd won the iPad. She was ecstatic. "I can't believe such a wonderful treat came out of such a stressful day!," she says.
And truly, there's a lesson in there for all of us, namely: "Don't sweat the small stuff." Because you never do know what's going to evolve from a so-called "bad" situation. Her iPad is monogrammed with her initials and now it goes everywhere with her. "I'm still trying to learn how to use it," Libby confesses. "My 16-year-old daughter, Hayli, is helping me. I'm going to do my email from it, my Facebook, download music on it. It's nice and lightweight and I can carry it around."
We Go Back A Ways
Libby's been a patient of ours for a couple of years now, getting Juvederm injections and purchasing the Latisse eyelash-enhancing system. She's currently considering breast augmentation.
How did she find us? On the Internet, of course! She was looking for a surgeon who was not only qualified medically, but who had a reassuring bedside manner. She did some research, worked up a list of candidates and interviewed all of us. Apparently I was the most likeable! "You were so easy to talk to," she tells me.
The Warm Fuzzies
A lot of people get the warm fuzzies here at the Virginia Center for Plastic Surgery, but I really can't take credit for it. Kelley and the whole staff make this a very, very comfortable place to be. As Libby says, "You guys are like family. I love you. I wish I could work at this office."

Why iPads? Why Raffles?
Some people have asked us about our unique way of growing our practice, using raffles and iPads. Why this approach?
1. It just suits the way we do things to grow our practice from the inside, extending our reach through the trust and affection of our loyal patients. 2. We chose iPads as loyalty rewards because they're totally awesome -- like us!
